Washington still doesn't get it! America isn't for Sale!

Our current President, Barrack Hussein Obama is a likable guy. Well educated, articulate, and compassionate. However he does not understand that to get what one wants in Washington, one must be willing to fight for convictions that are true to one's heart, and not by capitulations to the worst of the other side.  Of course he knows this, but he does not put actions into his deeds. The President has the Bully pulpit but does not know what to do with it. Giving more speeches to Republicans and hoping that somehow they will see his point has been an utter failure for this administration, yet the President continues down the path of no return.

In my lifetime I have only seen this road to destruction only increase to a point where it will be most futile to think that America will be anything other than a Kingdom with serfs, as slaves in the modern World, enabled by self serving greedy politicians who have used the Military and Police forces to rob the citizens of their own country.
Listening to our President begging republicans to agree with his point of view is very sad indeed, because they know all too well that they will vote against anything he is trying to accomplish. Their stated goal is to see this President fail miserably, and so far this game plan has worked very well.
How can America change for the better  and progress into the 21st Century when both the republicans and the President think that the best course of action, is no action?
Folks, this is war.
It is us against them!
Greed against the ethical!
People vs. Corporations!
When I voted for this President back in November of 2008, and  I thought that maybe, just for once, something really far reaching had occurred, but I was wrong.
Instead we get the "Change" advertising, but then  basically do the same as the last two Presidents.
This Peace prize President has now ratcheted up the war in Afghanistan, and pushing an even higher Military budget through, almost like G.W. Bush, "the incompetent"?
Where is the difference?
Where is the "Change"?
Where is the Hope?
Where is the real Leadership?

When Leaders Lie.

So a little more than a year after the Democratic party elects a new, hopefully, insightful, better equipped Presidential Leader, then the last two arrogant morons, do we find out that once in office they are all the same. They all give powerful, Patriotic speeches to prove their worthiness. They all tell us that they will lead us to the promised land of a perfect, and not so perfect Nation. They all Bullshit their way into office with lies that can hardly be comprehended. Yet, we vote them in office anyway.
Once in office the door is wide open to graft, bribery, corruption, and unimaginable wealth just for the taking.
Case in point, our current President. I voted for him thinking that he was different. That he is above the greed that rules Washington. That his sense of ethics would rule the day and finally put the "BUM's" on notice.
I was completely wrong!
He is just like the rest of them. Self serving, ego gratifying, mouthpiece for Corporate Greed.
Change?
No Change, only more of the same.
No conviction, only compromise so that in the end American citizens lose again.
Washington is all rigged and gamed to allow the show to take place and placate the viewer into thinking, believing and hoping that there is somebody out there thinking about them.
But there isn't!
Washington is for itself.
Today on Huffington Post, and in the New York Times both Arianna Huffington and Frank Rich reiterated exactly where America stands today with the false notion, and flimsy selling of mass marketed products including Politicians, Sports figures,  and Financial Success.
They all cheat!
It is all a sham, and quit shameless.
What do we do next?
Either we accept this, as we have done for the past 60 years or?

Just another day in America.

Tuesday morning in San Diego in what to most of the other States what be considered  mild Spring weather conditions is going to be a beautiful day here. The Sun is out, and by 11:00 am it will be in the 70's, short pants temperatures. One would never know that there are problems in the World living here. We are insulated by geography, economy, weather, and State of mind. When I drive down to the beach this morning there are no soup lines, no homeless on the streets, barely a foreclosed home or bank repo. sign visible anywhere. No demonstrators marching in the streets. Nothing, no sign of problems anywhere.

Yet America has ongoing two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, an economy that has all but collapsed unless, you are a Wall St broker, Banker, or manufacturer of Military components. Today as we see everyday Washington Politicians banter about professing to know what is good for all of us non-privileged citizens, as they loot the country, take bribes openly from any Corporation that hands them out, while professing that they work so hard at their jobs, and yet again not much gets done. Remember those "Green" jobs that were talked about during the Presidential election? While Congress and the Senate do nothing but fill their own car trunks with buckets of stolen cash, China, and India are making solar panels, wind turbines to sell back to us numb-skulls to buy  in the USA. Kinda like what we see with Wal-Mart now. The markets will be flooded with low cost/ cheap products before we even start to make our own in competition.

The Financial markets, the Banks, and Wall St. are back to their old greedy ways of gambling, buying influence in Washington to kill any type of reform.

Big Pharmacy, the same thing, buy Politicians to kill any reform that allows consumers to have choice, and a lower cost product. Just last night there was a commercial and there are many every night with a product for sleeping through the night, and  at the end of the commercial came the disclaimer, this product can cause "Death" and in some case "Suicide" !!!

Pot, marijuana has never killed a Human being in the History of Humanity, but legal Drug companies can sell this type of shit on the market that kills it's users faster than cigarettes?

And, this has the approval of the FDA on top of it. WOW!

We are now surging again in Afghanistan to appease Corporate sponsors, republicans, and the Military Industrial complex that will cost American taxpayers another $50 Billion a year in "Blood" money. We get nothing in return except a few more parades for the returning dead soldiers, and more photo opportunities for spineless, cowardly Politicians who would never fight in any war, anywhere, including right here in America.
Most every State now is close to bankruptcy, unemployment is still rampant, no jobs being created anywhere, but life goes on.
Today will be a nice day in San Diego, the Chargers are on a 8 game winning streak, the Sun is shinning,
garbage is being collected on time, and I have not a care in the World.

Politicians, the most corrupted people in America.

Today I read in the Huffington Post with Paul Reickhoff as one of the leading spokes persons for the American Veterans, that the Washington politicians have not voted yet for the budget for the Veterans Administration that ended on September 30, 2009. But that these same politicians voted to make sure they got paid and gave themselves a pay raise!

These same politicians that created the Bush/ Cheney wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, that sent your Sons, Daughters, Mothers and Fathers to harms ways, and possibly to their death, these same bums that lied to the American public about the implications of war and why it needed to happen made sure that they got paid first and make the Service men and women of our Country, the ones in war right this very minute don't get the funding they need!

Knowing that there has been more than 5,000 service persons deaths, knowing that there are 40,000 men and women right now in V.A. Hospitals across the USA trying to recover from being wounded in battle from these two wars alone, and 100,000's of other Vets from previous wars , knowing that there are now thousands of Veterans homeless living on the streets of America, knowing that they want to extend Military tours, knowing that they want to ratchet up fighting in Afghanistan and invade Iran. Knowing that all men and women in service who go to war will be changed forever because of what they are asked to do and what they see and experience. Knowing all this, These politicians in the Senate and Congress still made sure that they, these brown nosing, cowardly  greedy bastards paid themselves first!

This is an insult to every person who has  served or is serving  now in the US Military.

You fucking, self serving, spineless bunch of  shameless Jackasses!

When will this greed and corruption come to an end.

 It is not enough to know that these bums cheat on their wives and get caught all the time, that they cheat on America by fleecing the country through their criminal voting records, but to know that they cheat on the people they force into useless, illegal, unethical wars for profit is beyond reproach.

There is no excuse!

There is no moral conviction in Politics today, just over fed, greedy, self serving leeches.

The President has no Bite!

Eight months into his Presidency, President Obama has made many a great speech. He can articulate exactly what he thinks and feels to a large crowd very successfully with passion and integrity. The only problem is that he is too nice a person for the job. Jimmy Carter was no different. A man of the people with a honest heart, yet very weak otherwise. We are seeing this play out again and again now, the President is back tracking on every issue, every piece of legislation just to make the other side feel good, and in doing so has completely wiped out any strength he has, or had in Congress. The President looks very weak and limp right now, and on every issue more empty speeches and no results produce failed policies.

He was voted into office from the biggest issue of the time, the two wars we have got going now in Iraq and Afghanistan and people want out of both. Only now he is wanting to send more troops to Afghanistan? This is looking just like L.B.J. after J. F. Kennedy died in the early 1960's. L.B.J. wanted to appear to be a strong Democratic President and actually pushed ahead with the war effort by putting 500,000 more troops in Vietnam, only to get 58,000 of them killed in the process, along with 3 Million Vietnamese civilians and ended up being a complete waste of time, effort, money and lives. I know well because I have been to Vietnam, and my wife lived through the entire ordeal. It was a tragedy that did not have to happen, but was forced on the USA because of greed, just like we see now. The Banking cartels, the Military Industrial complex, the Halliburton type companies, they all make 100's of Billions in war and they do not want change, they want things to stay as they are right now. Bogged down, stagnant is good for them because the money keeps pouring in from Government, while the corruptible Politicians stuff cash into their own pockets and look the other way.

Health care reform, Finance reform, war reform, immigration reform, trade reform, all  looks like not much will happen, and then in no time at all it will be election time 2012 again and we the citizens are faced with the same predicament? What's the use to vote if it means so little in the end.

Nothing short of a real revolution looks like it will have any impact on America. We are being held hostage by the politicians, they make the laws, all of them. Nothing can be done without a law being introduced and voted on, and then being put into action. Every crisis at hand right now is the result of a Politician creating a law to allow it to happen. There are no accidents ever. It is all manufactured to produce the desired results, which is to bleed the American  consumer dry of their assets, and the same goes  on World wide, for the benefit of the rich as well.

President Obama was going to lead us to the promised land? It kind of feels more like we are on our own to figure out what to do next.

The enemy is not an invisable terrorist here or in a far off land somewhere. The enemy is 100 Senators, and 435 Congressmen and women who want to get rich and powerful from their elected jobs inWashington!

This is treason.

Democracy, American Style.

The elections in Afghanistan are temporarily on hold until the country can have a run off of the two top Candidates. Just like in America both candidates have dirt on their political hands and the politicians in Washington feel a mite threatened that either candidate will bring too much corruption into the highest powers of Afghanistan Government. In Afghanistan the true measure of power is  in the Opium trade. This is their natural resource that they can sell to the outside World. They have nothing else, unless selling dirt becomes fashionable soon and that does not look like the case. So either side of the political coin will be heavily tarnished with Political players that have close connection to the Opium trade, sales, distribution, smuggling, protection, bribery, murder, etc....

So here in the USA, American Politicians who have blood on their own hands in dealing with foreign Governments and power  do not like the way American style Democracy works in other countries because there are no sure ways to get the person you want to get elected in office and once they are there they become just as corrupt as the Politicians that the American Politicians do not want in office. These are Politicians who will not do America's bidding, by being paid off, bribed, or they will eventually be assassinated!

Democracy, what a wonderful thing, unless you lose the elections! Then it is atrociously unfair, because now your side is out of power until the next election in 2, or 4 or 6 years.

America keeps doing the same thing all over the World getting the same results for the past 100 years. We prop up puppet Governments, with boatloads of illegal American bribery money so that our guy gets in and the first thing we say after the elections is that we want our payback now! What this generally means is that we want the other countries Natural resources, oil, gas, timber, diamonds, gold, silver, you name it, we want it for America, or really for American owned Corporations owned by the elite, controlled by unscrupulous America businessmen with the help of unethical, self serving politicians who are more corrupt than most prison gangs, but they are good Christians (the majority) and Jews (the minority) at Church or at the Synagogue on Saturday and Sunday..

Business as usual.

Democracy brought in an Native Indian in Peru who does not want to surrender his countries sovereignty, and culture to outside Western Powers. We helped to install the Shaw of Iran and he fell to corruption. We put in Marcos in the Philippines and he feel to corruption. We put in Noriega of Panama and sits in prison in Florida. We helped put in Saddam Hussein and he fell as well. We push for Democracy to work for the Palestinians and  we get Hamas is in power. We put in power a Presidential figure in S. Vietnam and then had the CIA assassinate him because he didn't fit well for our own American ambitions. Go figure.

Now here in America in 2009 we are 8 months since the election of a new Democratically elected President and the political side that lost that election, the Republicans, do not want to let Democracy play out as was the intended purpose of our Founding Fathers. Instead the losing Republican side wants to sabotage the Democratic process only because it benefits a small, vocal, anal, bigoted, intolerant, racist minority group, the far right fanatical, lunatic fringe, religious, militant Republican base.

So how the Hell can Democracy work in other countries when our own Politicians of the losing side will not let it play out  in America,  in all fairness? It does not work is the answer.

Instead we see that nothing gets done except name calling, accusations and complete denial of facts, and even intentional efforts to degrade, destroy, disrupt all attempts of a peaceful, legal transfer of power that was written into our Constitution.
Can Democracy really work, if the losing side in an election won't play by the rules?

War in Afghanistan and Iraq

What a complete waste of time, money and Human life in both the countries of Iraq and Afghanistan. The colossal failure and incompetence of G.W. Bush and Dick Cheney to allow 9/11 to happen in the first place and then to use it as a scapegoat to invade either country is simply treasonous. From the FBI to the CIA, and all other American Government Intelligence agencies, all have debunked anything of value that Bush and Cheney used to create these two wars for profit, and they are most certainly wars for profit. You the American taxpayer, Mothers and Father will pay dearly with the death of your children to satisfy the greed of G.W. Bush, Dick Cheney and all of the other enablers in the Senate and Congress who voted to go to war on the flimsiest excuses only because it was self serving to their own careers and to generate wealth for themselves in business contracts and bribes. Today on the CBS Evening News there was a Republican Senator in Afghanistan describing to the viewers how corrupt the Afghan Government was and is, and all I could think about is how Corrupt the Politicians in America are. Here's a guy calling out Afghan or Iraqi political thieves and he is one who belongs to the biggest bunch of thieves on Planet Earth, American Politicians!

Besides the 5,000 dead servicemen and women, besides the Trillions spent on these Wars for profit, the American public will get nothing but the bill, and full caskets. The people of Afghanistan or Iraq have seen 100,000's of their own countrymen and women murdered for the benefit of Halliburton, and the Military Industrial war complex, Exxon, Mobile, Chevron, etc... so that they can get a free ride to $$ Hundreds of Billion in profits for these companies. The only reason that G.W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Rumsfield, Wolfowitcz, Rice and the rest of the Regime are not in prison for war crimes, and treasonous acts against America is because both Republicans and Democrats have blood on their hands and they are surely not going to prosecute themselves. Face it, we in America live in the most corruptible society that has ever lived. Everyday politicians spend $$$ Billions, Hundreds of Billions, Trillions now of taxpayer money like it was Monopoly money because these greedy S.O.B.'s take bribes, extortion's, and cash stuffed into suitcases because it is a big game for them.

They all ask themselves, "How much can I steal while in political office without being caught" to enrich my life?

It is sickening, but it is fact.

How can this change? How can we weed out greed and corruption in Politics?

Unfortunately it cannot be done.

We either can simply just live with it or we create massive change. How this is done is anybody's guess. America is already bankrupt, printing funny money that each day is worth less and less, and one day it will implode. Whatever goes up must come down. The Roman Empire lasted 1,000 years, the British Empire of real power lasted 400 years, and the American Empire being run by the most corrupted men and women on Earth will barely hit 100 before, if it does that.

The Iraq and Afghanistan war cost Americans $13,000,000,000.00 each and every month since 2003, and will bleed the USA dry in the future.

I was in Thailand visiting a friend when the USA invaded Iraq in early 2003, and the people there asked me why "my" country was starting another war, because they lived through the US's Vietnam war, and I surely could not tell them any reasonable answer, for there wasn't any. I have been to Vietnam and have seen the devastation for myself. My wife is Vietnamese and lived through the horrors of American Imperial conquest. I knew that it was about money, power and greed, but I was embarrassed to say it because America is my beloved homeland and it is being run by dishonest, self serving crooks!
